As their comrades drew rebel fire, two SPARs managed to breach an entrance to the factory. They might just pull this off.

The SPARs finally close in to assault the building, killing the rebel platoon leader in the process!

Now we'll see how my rules compare with No End in Sight when it comes to close assaults. That was my biggest complaint with NEiS and the reason I quit using it.

This looks like the battle turned round? I thought it looked pretty rough a little ways back, but SPAR’s look like they have a second life!

You're right! It's going to be a tight one, but one SPAR gave his life to draw rebel fire so the others could break through. It largely hinged on that...which I didn't mention when it happened.

With a pile of bodies left behind them, both enemy and friendly, the SPARs succeed in taking the auto factory from the rebels! The last few retreat from the table.

And my QUIK FRIK rules succeed in replacing No End in Sight for this campaign. Sorry, Ivan.

Nicely done...and glad your rules system tested out so wonderfully!

One burning question, though.... did the corvette make it up scratched through the battle??? (I noted it in post #31 and couldn’t help cringing at it’s taking some bullets!)

If it's got a plastic body you could just heat up some pins and push them in. That is how I did battle damage on my models as a kid.

Ha ha. As far as I can tell, it made it through unscathed. It's a miracle.

Actually ALL Corvettes should have plastic bodies. Making them as metal die cast would be horribly inaccurate!
