If a large built-up area has a couple of its hexes catch on fire, the order in which you check for the spread of the fire may become very important if one side has units in other hexes of the city who might be cut off if the fire spreads in the wrong order. Who decides the order in which the checks happen?


Referencing Core Rules 2.3.4.4 Spreading FIre: This is a really good question and did not come up in Play Balancing at all (argh!), so thanks for catching this! The intent of the rule here is that Fire is a random element, so there should be no player direction into where it spreads. I recommend first determining all the hexes into which fire might spread during the phase, and then using a random die roll (or a series of die rolls) to determine the order in which the fire spreading rolls are made.
