    An Overlord Game

A fantastic example of Memoir ‘44 played with the Overlord expansion! 8 players, including action on the Airborne map, as well as Utah and Omaha Beach.

German victory as shown in last photo. One player issued Utah 2 armored assault cards on back to back turns to get us 7 unit kills. They had previously rolled 2 armor unit reinforcements giving them 4 total for use. They absolutely mowed down the beach landing forces with armored overruns that placed them in close quarters with another unit nearly every attack.

Add in a well timed behind enemy lines on the airborne map that knocked a unit off a bridge with a retreat die before swooping into an unguarded town to flip it from allied control and a Close Quarters card on Omaha at the same time that mowed several more units down.

Germany rocketed up about 12 points in 2 rounds to set up a win by single unit kill. By a tank unit with 1 figure left that just refused to die for 4 or so rounds.

This is Memoir ‘44 at its finest!

Looks like a good time was had by one and all. Who's cafeteria are you in?

Unfortunately, I wasn’t a part of this one… no idea where it was played, but i have seen other instances where games gather at restaurants, like pizza shops and such, when business is closed for that day. Perfect place, especially if the owner is a gamer and can help provide food and beverage options.
