I had missed this reply somehow, but yes, we did hit it off pretty quickly. I am realising why now.

We watched the final three episodes last night and are now faced with the terrible dilemma of just what we watch now. . Whatever it is it will have some really big shoes to fill.

UK tv has done some great programs but this type of thing is something the US does better than anyone else. The mix of completely off the wall comedy and heartwrenching drama is just an emotional rollercoaster and the ending was just a perfect finale.

You have no idea how much I wish we could hang out together, mate!

    Which season?

I am at the start of Season 5....I watched episode 3 last night, and the bondage scene was incredibly creepy!

Yeah, we are fortunate here in the US with a great film industry. But where we do some things at the highest calibre, we also have a lot that sucks. The problem I am having these days is, the commercials...way too many. I find that I really need to just DVR it and watch it later, being able to fast forward through the commercials.

...and great news on getting these on DVD. I have been seriously pondering doing the same, as I could re-watch these several times easily!

After having to drop our cable package we have not been able to keep up with this so we have to rely on getting the dvd`s which have been quite expensive if they are recent ones. We have watched series 3 and now we have just got series 4 which we are waiting until we have the time to watch it in decent size chunks.

This season has really taken some wild turns! Love the show, and always cannot wait to see the next episode. Elizaeth's sister is pissing me off, though, LOL!

The show just keeps getting deeper and deeper in cool plot lines!!! I was literally holding my breath with Red on Death Row...OMG that was tense. In today's TV world, you just never know how far the writers and producers will go. Now, the White House storyline! I can't stand the prez, and I have to give Kudos to the actor for portraying him in such. I'm curious to see where this plot line goes.

We have nearly finished season 5 and the show just gets better. We love the way Red is rebuilding his empire with specialists like a circus fixer who becomes his logistics man, and Blacklisters who Red turns in and then saves from the FBI.

I love that, as well...so clever, as is Red! Season 5 really threw me for a loop, as things changed like a flipped pancake....in a good way! This current season has had me holding my breath almost every single episode. I won't give anything away but, it shot in a whole new series of directions, while still maintain ties to the previous seasons' plot-lines. Amazing writing, really. I would never have guessed some of the things I am seeing now; yet so much mystery remains.

I read an article that said the show was approaching dangerous times in audience appeal with the Season 4 and 5 plot-lines....which I don't understand on terms of, I really liked the plots! ....but the article read that the show revved back into a solid viewership following, both old and new.

I really want to see a lot more seasons of this show, but I get nervous these days, as great shows tend to go away after a solid decade, due to cast boredom.

Finished a couple of days ago, and We are now more confused than ever. We honestly have no idea where season 6 will take us after the revelations in the last episode. Keeping an eye out for the next series for a reasonable price.

YUP! Exactly how I felt. It took such a wide turn from what we've known and followed in the series. Almost feeling like a complete reboot in some ways . To be honest, when the next season after the one you just finished started, I was still loving the show but, felt a small level of annoyance with one of the threadlines....but, by mid to where I am now, it was a fascinating re-direction in many ways, and I think really extends the show in terms of many more years to come.

I guess one of he best things is, the show still stays true to many original concepts and, Red is so damned fantastic!!!
